OUR STORY
From a Handful of Players to a Movement
Raising focused youths using basketball as a tool for development. Here's how we got here.

Our Vision
Grassroots Development, Real Futures
We exist to bring grassroots basketball talent to the forefront — with the aim of setting our athletes up for the future, both in the game and in life. That mentorship goes beyond the court, emphasizing spiritual values and community empathy alongside skill development.
Today, TNT Basketball Academy trains 200+ talented children at Package B, Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, led by founder Coach Ibrahim Omale.
Engage Through Basketball
Effectively engage youths through structured basketball development, on and off the court.
Showcase Real Talent
Bring grassroots talent to the forefront, with a clear focus on settling athletes into their future.
Mentor With Values
Instill lasting values in every athlete — including the fear of God and love for humanity.
Our Journey
History
- 2013
Where It Started
A small group of players with a shared passion for the game gathered at Intimacy with Christ College, Maraba, Nasarawa State, traveling regularly to Abuja for local competitions.
- 2013
TNT Panthers Is Born
Barr. Tom Ndah Tukura noticed the group and became an early benefactor, generously providing basketball shoes, jerseys, and covering their fees to compete in leagues across Abuja. Inspired by their benefactor, the players named themselves TNT Panthers Basketball Academy.
- 2015
Move to Moshood Abiola Stadium
The academy found a permanent home at Package B, Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, opening the door to young players from across the region. Additional sponsors joined the cause, including Alhaji Mubarak, Sam Oguche (Bullet Energy Ambassador), Ambassador Auwal, and Coach Reza Masomi from Texas, USA.
- 2022
Rebrand to Teens N' Twenties
With a growing circle of diverse sponsors and a more inclusive roster, the academy rebranded as "Teens N' Twenties" (TNT) — a name chosen so no one could dismiss it as a mere "one man" club.
- 2023
200+ Kids and Counting
TNT now serves over 200 talented children passionate about basketball, backed by partners including Infinitum Sports Nigeria, the Ebiere Ijere Foundation, and Nexeiza.
